Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina is her elder sister, and also a UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sports journey with a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via the unanimous vote. Antonina continued her career by winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, as well as a Gold medal in 2011, as well as the 2015 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia began her professional career in 2003, and she was the winner of an award at the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in the year 2016. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off the professional phase of her MMA professional career back in the year 2002, with a win over Anara Baanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. The next two bouts were won by WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was forced to take a break in order to focus on the sport of kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote. She was able to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. The league was dissolved in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina demonstrated her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. Following this victory Antonina was offered an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on a split decision. Antonina recovered from her loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the fight of the night reward for the bout. Shevchenko was 2-2 in her three subsequent matches which included a win against Ariane Lipski, while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Recently Antonina fell to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos against. Walker via second-round TKO.
