Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina is her elder sister, and also a UFC competitor. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina demonstrated her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. Following this victory Antonina was offered an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on a split decision. Antonina recovered from her loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the fight of the night reward for the bout. Shevchenko was 2-2 in her three subsequent matches which included a win against Ariane Lipski, while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee.
