Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress who was born in Berkeley on the 1st of October 1996. She is an actor popular for Choices (2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes, 2006) and Chrissie Mair's Content House, 2022.
Asia Argento began her career as an actor in Rome. Her family also includes a number of filmmakers. The Church, directed by Michele Soavi, was her debut role. The following year, she played Nanni Moritti's baby on screen in Red Wood Pigeon. Her professional career took off after she was cast as Nanni's little girl in Close Friends. The film received a great reception in the Cannes International Film Festival. Daria Nicholodi was among Argento's favorites actresses and was cast as an orexic kid looking for the killer. Asia was a part of Dario's The Phantom of the Opera, the third film she directed together with her father. Two of them included Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. She co-starred with Carlo Verdone in Perdiamoci di perspective as Arianna the girl who was physically handicapped. This intricate and difficult part earned her an award: a David di Donatello award for the Best actor. She was a part of Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio with Michel Piccoli in which she was awarded the David di Donatello award and a Grolla of Oro. Asia took up directing as a career in 1994 and produced two shorts and an episode from De Generazione. The following year, in 1996, Asia made a document on her father. In 1998, Asia created a feature-length film about Abel Ferrara (AbelAsia), which was recognized with an award at the Rome Film Festival. Asia made her debut as a director in 1999, with Scarlet Diva. She was also the principal screenwriter and actor. The film was released globally in May 2000. The film was awarded an award in Brooklyn at the Williamsburg International Film Festival.
